Mathiwos  Wondu – Ye Ethiopian Cancer Society recognized by the  12th Bego sew Humanitarian Award

The award ceremony was attended by Ethiopian President her Excellency Sahlework Zewde, and a number of respected guests.
Bego sew Award is an annual program held with the aim of recognizing good people and producing other good people. This year’s 32 institutions and individuals recognized in 11 categories . One of them is Mathiwos Wondu – Ye Ethiopian Cancer Society.
Mathiwos Wondu – Ye Ethiopian Cancer Society, who celebrated its 20th Year of Anniversary, has been awarded the philanthropic sector category for its contribution for supporting cancer patients and their families over the years.
Mrs. Mizan Wondu, Mr Wondu Bekele daughter , received the award on behalf of her father and ,during the ceremony she delivered a speech and thanked the organizers indicating in the past 20 years, the society has fought cancer and is now expanding to fight the broader non-communicable diseases. She also requested concerted support for the success of the vision “Healthy Africa” project. Mean while she thanked the board members and staff, cancer patients and their families, and volunteers for tireless effort to make the society successful.
