Mathiwos Wondu ye -Ethiopian Cancer Society successfully conducted its 18th regular general assembly meeting.

Dr. Kunuz Abdalla, Chairman of the General assembly of the Matthiwos Wondu-YeEthiopia Cancer Society, testified the society, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary, is experiencing tremendous growth every year and is currently managing 30 permanent employees and implementing 8 projects.
He added that his efforts are intended to fill policy and strategy gaps of Ethiopia by working collaboratively together with MoH and other partners to solve challenges and problems are admirable and examplenargy.

For her part, Dr. Yetnayet Abebe Chairperson of the Society’s Management Board, testified with appreciation that the Society’s activities are increasingly of national importance.

One of the founding members and Chief Executive Director of Mathiwos Wondu-YeEthiopia Cancer Society, Mr. Wendu Bekele, explained that the society started its operations in pediatric cancer and has now reached the stage of implementing national projects by prioritizing the patients and creating a conducive environment for the staffs.

The general assembly meeting concluded by reviewing and approving last year’s performance and external audit reports, as well as the rules and regulations intended to make our society more accountable and transparent.
