Strengthening Lung Cancer Diagnosis and Control in Ethiopia;

As part of the ongoing efforts under the Phase II Multinational Lung Cancer Diagnosis and Control Project, two comprehensive training and orientation sessions were conducted to enhance the capacity of healthcare professionals and strengthen the implementation of the project.
The first session was held on June 13 and 14, 2025, at the Consortium of Christian Relief and Development Associations (CCRDA). The second session took place on June 17, 2025, at the Saris Health Center. Both events were attended by key stakeholders, including health professionals and representatives from partner institutions.

The sessions were designed to be case-based and interactive, facilitating active participation and critical discussion among attendees. Real-life clinical scenarios were presented to guide participants through practical decision-making processes related to lung cancer diagnosis, early detection, and management strategies. In addition to knowledge dissemination, the training emphasized the integration of multidisciplinary approaches and the importance of timely and accurate diagnosis in improving patient outcomes.

Overall, the training and orientation sessions were deemed successful and productive, laying a solid foundation for the next phases of the project and reinforcing the commitment of all stakeholders to the early diagnosis and effective control of lung cancer within the framework of this multinational effort.
