BMSF supported Multinational Lung Cancer Diagnosis and Control Project in Ethiopia finally successfully completed & Ethiopia became the fifth country in Africa to implement the project. Mathiwos Wondu-YeEthiopia Cancer Society/MWECS/ as a lead partner signed project agreement with BMSF, Ministry of Health & Memorandum of Understanding/MoU/ with four implementing partners, namely AMREF, CUAMM, Mar Joy & Ethiopian Thoracic Society (ETS).The project is for three years & will be implemented in Oromia , Amhara, Afar regions & Addis Ababa.

This project intends to strengthen health system for lung cancer treatment and control that contribute for survival of lung cancer patients in Ethiopia. The project among other will focus on early detection, diagnosis, treatment, referral, operational research, and Palliative care
