በኢትዮጵያ የሳንባ ካንሰር ምርመራና ቁጥጥር ፕሮጀክት ላይ ከሚመለከታቸው የፕሮጀክት ባለድርሻ አካላት ጋር ዓመታዊ ግምገማ ተካሄደ፡፡

ማቲዎስ ወንዱ-የኢትዮጵያ ካንሰር ሶሳይቲ በኢትዮጵያ የሳንባ ካንሰር ምርመራና ቁጥጥር ፕሮጀክት ላይ ከሚመለከታቸው የፕሮጀክት ባለድርሻ አካላት ጋር በመሆን ዓመታዊ ግምገማ በግንቦት 23 ቀን 2014 ዓ.ም በማዶ ሆቴል አዲስ አበባ አድርጓል። ሶሳይቲው ከጤና ሚኒስቴርና ከሌሎች አጋር የፕሮጀክቱ ተግባሪ ድርጅቶች ጋር በመተባበር ሁለተኛ ዓመቱ ላይ የሚገኘውን የሶስት አመት ፕሮጀክት በዋናነት በመተግበር ላይ ይገኛል።

ኘሮጀክቱ በቆይታው ፕሮጀክቱ በሚካሄድባቸው በተመረጡ ቦታዎች የሳንባ ካንሰር ህሙማን ልየታ ላይ የጤና ተቋማትን አቅም ማጠናከር ላይና ለጤና ተቋማቱ የሚፈለገውን ግብአት መመደብ ላይ ስኬታማ ስራዎችን ሰርቷል። በግምገማው ወቅት የብሔራዊ የካንሰር መቆጣጠሪያ እቅድና የአመታዊ የስራ እድገትና አፈፃፀም ላይ በማቲዎስ ወንዱ-የኢትዮጵያ ካንሰር ሶሳይቲ፣ በአጋር ተግባሪ ድርጅቶችና በጤና ተቋማት በኩል ሪፖርት የቀረበ ሲሆን በቀጣይ መወሰድ ስለሚገባቸው እርምጃዎች ውይይትና ማጠቃለያ ተሰጥቷል፡፡

A review meeting on the Multinational Lung Cancer Diagnostics and Control project in Ethiopia has been conducted.

Mathiwos Wondu-YeEthiopia Cancer Society conducted an annual review meeting on the Multinational Lung Cancer Diagnostics and Control project in Ethiopia on May 31, 2022, at Mado Hotel Addis Ababa with all relevant project stakeholders. MWECS in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and other implementing partners has been a lead implementer of this three-year project which is on its second year of the implementation period. The project has successfully increased the capacity of the health facilities to screen the population group, have been able to confirm the advanced stage lung cancer patients, and have been able to allocate the required resources to the health facilities.

During the review meeting, presentations were held on the National Cancer Control Plan, annual report progress and performance by MWECS, implementing partners, and health facilities.  The meeting was concluded with discussions and future notes on a steps to be taken.
