በኢትዮጵያ የሳንባ ካንሰር ምርመራና ቁጥጥር ፕሮጀክት የሳንባ ካንሰር ልየታ ምርመራና ህክምናን ማሳደግ ዐላማ አድርጎ እ.ኤ.አ በሰኔ 1, 2021 ዓ.ም የተጀመረና እ.ኤ.አ እስከ ግንቦት 31, 2023 ዓ.ም የሚቆይ የሶስት ዓመት ፕሮጀክት ነው፡፡

በኢትዮጵያ የሳንባ ካንሰር ምርመራና ቁጥጥር ፕሮጀክት የሳንባ ካንሰር ልየታ ምርመራና ህክምናን ማሳደግ ዐላማ አድርጎ እ.ኤ.አ በሰኔ 1, 2021 ዓ.ም የተጀመረና እ.ኤ.አ እስከ ግንቦት 31, 2023 ዓ.ም የሚቆይ የሶስት ዓመት ፕሮጀክት ነው፡፡ ፕሮጀክቱ በ Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation (BMSF) የገንዘብ ድጋፍ አማካኝነት በአራት የኢትዮጵያ ክልሎች ማለትም በአማራ፣ በኦሮሚያ፣ በአፋርና በአዲስ አበባ በመተግበር ላይ የሚገኝ ሲሆን ማቲዎስ ወንዱ-የኢትዮጵያ ካንሰር ሶሳይቲ ከሌሎች አጋር ተግባሪ ድርጅቶች ጋር በመሆን ፕሮጀክቱን በዋነኝነት በመምራትና በመተግበር ላይ ይገኛል፡፡

የፕሮጀክቱን ሁለተኛ ዓመት አፋፃፀም አስመልክቶ የBMSF ዳይሬክተር እንዲሁም ማቲዎስ ወንዱ-የኢትዮጵያ ካንሰር ሶሳይቲን ጨምሮ ሌሎች የፕሮጀክቱ አጋር ተግባሪ ድርጅቶች በተገኙበት በሁለት አመታት ውስጥ የተሰሩ ስራዎች፣ የገጠሙ ችግሮች፣ የተወሰዱ እርምጃዎች፣ የተገኙ ትምህርቶች፣ የተሳኩ ግቦች እንዲሁም በክትትልና ግምገማ ዙሪያ ሪፖርቶች ቀርበዋል፡፡ በስተመጨረሻም በቀረቡ ሪፖርቶች ላይ ለተነሱ ጥያቄዎች ምላሾች ተሰጥተው በቀጣይ አመት ሲሰሩና ሊከናወኑ የሚገባቸው ተግባራት ዙሪያ ውይይት ተካሂዶ የጋራ መግባባት ላይ ተደርሷል፡፡

The Ethiopian Multinational Lung Cancer Diagnosis and Control Project is a three-year project launched on June 1, 2021 and will run until May 31, 2013 with the aim of enhancing the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer. The project funded by Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation (BMSF), operates in four regions of Ethiopia namely Amhara, Oromia, Afar, and Addis Ababa. Mathiwos Wondu-YeEthiopia Cancer Society is the lead implementer of the project along with other implementing partners 

With the presence of BMSF Director, reports on the implementation of the second year of the project, problems encountered, steps taken, lessons learned, goals achieved and monitoring and evaluation were presented by implementing partners. Finally, answers were provided for raised questions, discussions were held and a consensus was reached on a way forward for the remaining year of the project.
