Friends Forever showed their kind support by offering 50,000 Birr and in-kind contributions of other items to our society.
Friends Forever is an association of eight close friends here in Addis Ababa known for their involvement in different charity activities. These amazing friends have been supporting our society by covering the cost of vegetables, fruits & milk for some time now. Previously they donated 30,000Birr in cash and 27,000 in goods including clothes.
During the visit, Mr. Wondu Bekele, Executive Director of MWECS received the donation on behalf of MWECS and handed over the official receipt, thanked the group for their continued generous support & noted that the society is interested in working with them jointly in the future.
The staff at Mathiwos Wondu-YeEthiopia Cancer Society thank them for their continued support. We thank them for their commitment to the fight against cancer. We wish them & their loved ones a happy, healthy New Year. We look forward to working with them in our efforts to decrease the suffering of cancer patients and increase their survival rate.
Cancer is not a battle that one can fight and win in isolation and we look forward to the professional, moral and material support of willing individuals and organizations like them in order to make a difference!
